Hi -- my name is Joe Perkins and I work at CTV in Victoria. I'm wondering if you have a second to give me a call about your YouTube video of the smart birds. It's terrific! 250-415-0606.

Hi! Found you through the same video.
Serendipity: used to live in Victoria BC.
Very nice pictures, but I know how many nice subjects you can find around Victoria and Vancouver Island. Maybe one day I'll return ...

I have been studying swallows for 15 years and am fascinated by your film. It is priceless.
Here are some questions which formulated in my head and you may be able to answer:
Of course the real question is how did it all start? Did the swallows nest traditionally inside the building? Were the doors added while they were in the south? Were the birds exploring for a nesting site by flying around the doors - as they are apt to do - accidentally activated the sensor and flew inside. Once inside being trapped they flew by the doors to get out thereby activating the sensor again and flew out - a natural enough way of reacting. Now why did they do it again? Had they nested in the building before the doors were added? If they did breed on the inside with the sensor activating the doors how did the young fare? Did the young survive and get out? What about returning in the evening? Interesting enough. I would be interested in knowing more. Have you any photos of the nest(s) inside the building?
Thanks a million.

I was amazed by the smart birds video so I also watched your art card promo video. Your photography, of course, is spectacular but I also was moved by the music that you selected. I'm hoping it is commercially available and you can share the titles. Thanks for your inspiring work! ~ Pat

Hi- just a comment about the music on some of my videos. I have been using Adobe Premiere Elements 11 and this program has music tracks that can be added in to the video. So, I have not been sourcing separate music, just using their tracks. Hope this helps and thanks for your interest.
